Habitation – a rictameter

israel-your-god-is-with-you.jpg
Not just

visitation

from my Lord Jesus Christ!

My heart longs for Him to remain

morning, noon, nighttime and forever more

as my mind, body, and spirit

joyfully worships Him.

Habitation

The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. – Exodus 15:2

Courageous Dependence

hands_img.jpg
A child sits alone
in her bedroom and waits
for someone to come to her.

She is hungry and cold
and her nose is running
and she sniffles.

She hears a key’s metallic
sound as it whispers to
her heart.

And then they come in -
her parents – from a long
day at their offices.

She runs to them for
a hug and is greeted
with a hurried grimace.

She is given a frozen dinner
and told to eat it in the
living room – alone.

She eats.
She shivers.
She sniffles.
She waits.

She hears raised voices
in the other bedroom.
She pounds on the door.
She screams for attention.

She is ignored
because the fighting has
begun….again.

But this fight is different.

The yelling pierces the silence.
The hitting vibrates through the floor.
They are killing themselves this time.
Her heart knows this is the end.

She sits alone in her bedroom
crying for help,
crying to the only One
who can hear her now.

She cries out loud,
“My Father who art in heaven
holy is Your Name.
Your Kingdom come NOW
She needs His Kingdom to come now.

She moves to the kitchen
and asks for the Father’s will to be done.

She sees the cell phone
on the counter and she
prays one more time,

“Deliver me from evil.”

She dials 911
and asks for help
and waits for the police
to come.

She tells them all
and is taken away
from the loneliness,
and the fighting,
and the evil that hurt
her heart every day.

This is courage.

To depend on our Father
and to obey Him when He
directs our path.

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. – Lamentations 2:19

June 29 2006 Word of the Lord

Word of the Lord given to Rhoda Banks on June 29, 2006

The Lord would say: I am building up an army of end time believers who will push past the obstacles to pursue my will. It’s not enough to say you are saved. You must take me at my word and go out to take back the territory. Staying within the confines of the Church will only bring you comfort. But if you press through the resistance, you will find that your life will bring comfort and wholeness to others who are in need of a Savior.

Stop waiting for others to do what I have called the Church to do collectively. It’s time to bring in the harvest, so stop any activity that’s more important. For you will see my hand of blessing upon you as you enlarge your borders and bring healing to others. It’s all about spreading the Good News of the Kingdom that brings release of bondages that have held others captive to the enemy of their souls.

So, keep your minds fixed on me and change your mindset to advance my Kingdom and I will cause you to be a blessing to those who don’t know me. Watch and pray for it’s time now to go out in my Name and bring in the harvest.

It’s as you keep short accounts that you will be able to withstand the onslaught of the enemy’s plots. For his desire is to see you complacent and satisfied with material wealth so it stops the flow of my spirit from going forth. So, break off attitudes that stop you from progressing and place your trust in me. It’s not about building your kingdom. But it takes a Kingdom mentality to advance my Kingdom.

Listen daily at my gate for I am speaking to bring freedom to those who are in captivity and I will reveal myself to those who are willing to put to death things that are choking my words out.

Give me all your tomorrows and I will cause you to bear fruit for my Kingdom. Go out now and gather the harvest. I am the Gardener and my people, the harvesters, so begin to take my Words to heart and let my Words have their effect on those whom you minister to. I am releasing my harvesting angels, to lay the groundwork and to prepare the soil. So, don’t be afraid. I am with you and you shall go out in my authority says your God.

This Word was given to Rhoda Banks for New Life Christian Church in Putnam Lake NY and to all believers.

June 21 2006 Word of the Lord

Word of the Lord given to Rhoda Banks on June 21, 2006

I am birthing a new thing on the earth today. The old order of things has passed away to give way to the new. The season has arrived.

Take me at my word. There is a time and a season in which to move out in my plans for you. The season has changed. So you must bring in the harvest and go in my authority.

Teach and preach with all authority and develop a mindset for miracles and multiplication. For it’s a new time, says the Lord, to go out and get out of your comfort zone. For I am calling you to be a people who will bear fruit in my name.

It comes from a heart that is consecrated to my purposes and listens daily at my gates. Find your place on the wall and stop any activity that’s becoming more important than being about my business.

The times ahead will be perilous. Stop thinking that there will be peace when I am sounding an alarm to watch and pray for it’s not a time of peace but of war. So begin to stay connected to my words. They are life to those who search me out and let your mind be transformed daily.

For it’s a time of renewal – the old order of things has passed away. So, prepare for my return and don’t grow complacent, as my desire is for you to be fire-carriers – to let your light burn so bright that it brings healing, salvation, and wholeness to those whom you touch. The ones who are willing to carry the torch will be refined and cleansed but it’s a holy fire.

So be not dismayed this day for your efforts have not gone unrecognized but you will be fully rewarded. Forget the former things, they have passed away. For you will see my hand of blessing upon you as you prepared your vessel to be a vessel of honor. It takes a work of my spirit to bring revival, but I will use those who are willing to sacrifice to go out in my name.

It’s all about the harvest – so go out to give out, says your God.

This Word was given to Rhoda Banks to share with New Life Christian Church in Putnam Lake NY and with other believers.

Listen

savetheworld.gif
Listen to me world!

The days are darkened
by the lusts of men.
The nights are cheapened
by the greed of the
many for more and more and
more worthlessness.

Nations fight against nations.
Governments wage war against each other.
Cities suffer from natural disasters.
Homes are demolished in a moment
by floods and winds.
Towers crumble and bodies
are destroyed in a flash
of rage.

What is the answer?
What is the remedy?
When will the insanity stop?

Homes are deserted
by mothers and fathers making
money to merely survive.
Children die on the streets,
or, worse yet, live on the streets
with the rats,
and the vermin,
and the diseased minds made mad
by despair.

If
If….
If……..
only we would stop
and remember where we came from -
Who created us,
Who has the Master Plan,
Who allows us to sin,
Who allows us to rape,
Who allows us to destroy
His paradise…

If
If….
If…….
only we would acknowledge the Creator,
esteem His Holy Word,
recognize His beloved Son
as our Savior
and repent…

this disaster story would end
for each of us and
we would find redemption.

Listen to me world before you die
lost and unredeemed.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land..”

Come to Me – an etheree

jesus_open_arms6.jpg

Come

to me,

all of you

who fear cruel Day

and terrible Night.

Cling to me, little ones,

and escape black times and pain.

For you are my delight always

and I long to hold you in my arms

throughout eternity and, then, beyond.

Jesus says to each of us TODAY:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29

She Waits for You

Young and healthy
happy and smiling
laughing and alive,
your mother waits for you.

She stands at the Gates of Heaven
waiting to welcome you home
like it was only yesterday
you last kissed each other good night.

She holds a spot for you there -
her precious daughter -
and remembers only
the blessings of her time with you.

She runs to Jesus like
the child you are
and huddles safely in
His embrace.

She waits for you to come
too to this paradise for true
believers – this mansion
she has earned so so well.

But until you can once again
feel her warm embrace
and her loving hand on your shoulder,
cling to her Lord.

He holds you tightly now
as you face the empty days
and lonely hours. He is there
to comfort and console.

Young and healthy
happy and smiling
laughing and alive,
your mother waits for you.

Jehovah-Rapha

I am the Lord.

I take your every wound

and bind up your every heart ache

for I love you with an everlasting love.

I will dry your every tear.

No more will you suffer pain or hurt

for I am the Lord that healeth

THEE

is who I healeth.

Pain and hurt you will suffer no more.

Your every tear will I dry.

It is with an everlasting love that I love you.

Every heartache, I will bind up.

Every wound is what I take from you.

Your Lord is who I am.

A Motherless Day

I remember the moment
like it was just a second ago…
You are sitting in the brown chair in the corner
in the room we lived in.
The TV is on as always and
you are teaching me,
teaching me to be patient,
teaching me to be sensitive,
teaching me to be alive at nine years old.
Little Pinkey is sitting with us and
you’re showing me how you got
her to beg, and then to
speak to you. I remember…
it did sound like “cookie”
when Pinkey sang with you.

Oh Mommy, I miss you.

I remember the moment
just as if it happened last night…
You are sitting in the metal and plastic covered chair
around the table in the room
we cooked and ate in.
You are laughing and smiling and teaching
me how to be joyful when grief and mourning
pervade my teenage life. You smile
and the whole world lights up.
You talk to me of clothes and fashion
and fun and travels and dreams come true.
I can still hear your wonder-filled laugh
and see the sparkle of life in your 70 plus year old
eyes. We sing together like silly kids.

Oh Aunt Martha, I miss you.

I remember the moment
just like it was this past April…
We are together – cruising the Caribbean.
You the Merry Widow.
Me, the Gay Divorcee.
On the Jubilee we need nobody else;
no man or woman to make us content.
We are happy to just be together -
to dress up at night -
to play Black Jack and slots -
to remember the past together in
silent respect. To savor the moments
that would not happen again.
Our song ended too soon.

Oh Anna, I miss you.

I remember the moment
just like it was yesterday…
I come in to the little room
and there you sit in your caned backed chair.
I give you your pills and get you ready
for bed. You laugh and smile and kid
me about babying you.
I leave you in front of the TV, we kiss,
and I say good night. I say “I love you, Jane.”
You say, “I love you more.”
The love never ends but your
sweet song is missing in my life.

Oh Jane, I miss you so.
